A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Their job is to oversee the clinical programming for each ABA client. BCBAs conduct assessments to determine treatment goals and behavior intervention plans in a variety of domains including behavior reduction, communication, social, play, adaptive, cognitive, and community safety.
BCBAs provide supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians (or Certified Behavior Technicians) that work directly with each client. BCBAs also provide parent training to the parents to help generalize skills that are taught during treatment sessions to the home setting.
